A Munich honey story

Am 1. Mai 1995 öffnete das Honighäus'l zum ersten Mal seine Türen am Viktualienmarkt. Was als kleiner Stand mit ein paar ausgesuchten Honigsorten begann, ist heute eine feste Münchner Institution, ein Ort, an dem sich Einheimische, Stammkunden und Besucher aus aller Welt begegnen.

On 1 May 1995, the Honighäus'l opened its doors at the Viktualienmarkt for the very first time. What began as a small stand with a handful of carefully chosen honeys is today a Munich institution, a place where locals, regulars and visitors from all over the world come together.

Inhaber Wolfgang Kager, geborener Münchner und leidenschaftlicher Honigkenner, führte das Geschäft anfangs gemeinsam mit seiner Mutter. Aus dieser familiären Wurzel ist über die Jahre ein eingespieltes, bestens geschultes Team gewachsen. Die Liebe zum Detail und der direkte, persönliche Kontakt sind dabei immer gleich geblieben.

Owner Wolfgang Kager, a born Münchner and passionate honey connoisseur, first ran the shop together with his mother. From these family roots, a well-rehearsed and expertly trained team has grown over the years, while the love of detail and personal contact have always stayed the same.
